Paulina is 24 years old influencer who lives in Stockholm and study journalism & Media, besides her job at Stella McCartney and Metro Mode. Her most significant inspiration is her grandmother, she describes her style as simple and timeless. Her outfits are always on point, and we love her ability to mix the Scandinavian simplicity with colours.
When did you start blogging/social media, and what was your motivation for getting started?
A couple of years ago just for fun, and just to be creative, which iI love. I didn’t think so much about it; everything was just fun and new.
What does the term influencer mean to you?
Not so much, to be honest.
Who do you admire most?
My granny for sure! I get inspired by many places when it comes to style and fashion but it’s definitely my grandmother who affects me the most.
What have been your keys to success?
Be kind to people, and always be your self.
What is still your biggest challenge?
Not to care too much about it, not to worry so much about everything in this business. At the end of the day, it’s not a big thing! People get stressed if they haven’t posted a picture for a few days. My challenge is to not be like that about social media.
What does a typical day in your week look like?
I wake up at 8 and read my e-mails at the same time as I eat my yoghurt, still in bed most of the times. Then I work, sometimes at Stella McCartney, or have meetings or write about fashion. Sometimes I have time for an event or to go out after work with friends. In the evening I eat dinner, probably pasta and probably on the couch.
What is your favourite social media platform and why?
I do like Instagram, but my “go to” platforms for inspiration is Styleby, Hey-Woman and Business Of Fashion.
What are your 3 favourite tools for working your social media / make your life easier? Right now the app ”Snapseed” for social media. And for everyday life, I probably need to say my bank app and Google Maps (I have a really bad sense of direction).
How far ahead do you plan your content?
I don’t. When I got an idea I just go for it, without planning.
Are you introvert or extrovert?
Definitely extrovert!
Who inspires you, when it comes to fashion?
The Olsen twins.
What is your best styling tip?
For us in Scandinavia, layering!
What is your closet filled up with?
Unnecessary summer clothes.
Describe your style
Simple, hopefully timeless. Pretty typical Scandinavian, sometimes more androgynous, sometimes more feminine. I would say that my closet consists of a reasonably classical, minimalist base but with some more colourful accessories.
What is your favourite item in your wardrobe?
I think I need to say my bags, but I can’t choose just one. Or my everyday jewellery.
What will we never see you wearing?
I find it really hard to see myself wear over-the-knee boots.
What will your next purchase be?
Probably shoes.
What is one thing your readers would be surprised to hear about you?
I’m pretty ironic. Which does not always translate well into text.
What is your best advice you will pass on to others who want to get in the game?
Believe in yourself and have fun along the way!
